Summer is over, so it’s time to adjust your makeup routine for the colder weather. While during hot summer days you want to keep your makeup as light and breathable as possible, you now want to have a little bit more coverage without compromising on nurturing and protecting your skin. In collaboration with Max Factor, I share with you my fall makeup routine for working women.

My 7 step fall makeup routine

Step 1: foundation

The Miracle Second Skin Foundation of Max Factor. Beauty for work by Lynn Mikolajczak

The biggest change in your makeup routine: your foundation. In contrary to summer, your makeup for work during autumn and winter will require a foundation that covers more, nurturer your skin, hydrates and protects against colder weather and UV. The Miracle Second Skin Foundation does it all.

Step 2: concealer

The long working days, the cold and dark outside. It will affect our immune system. So if you cannot catch up enough sleep, you will see it on your face. Hide tiredness with the Facefinity All Day Flawless Concealer.

Step 3: highlighter

During fall, it can still be very sunny, but your summer tan will fade. Create your own glow and give your face a subtle shine with the Pro Glow Illuminator.

Step 4: accentuate your eyebrows and eyelashes

Whip your eyebrows into shape with the Brow Revival Gel. Thank to the small brush, you can precise the application and create fuller brows without gaps.

Do you want to colour your own brows? You definitely need to check out this blog post about how you can colour your eyebrows yourself at home.

Step 5: let your eyes speak

During summer, we want to minimize eye makeup to prevent it will run out. During fall, you can pay a little bit more attention to your eyes while still keeping it professional. Opt for a subtle eyeshadow. The Masterpiece Nude Eyeshadow Palettes has beautiful colours that speak and are still appropriate for the workplace. Accentuate your eyes by using a Kohl Pencil. Instead of black, try navy or brown for a less hard makeup look. Finish with mascara.

Step 6: finish with a lipstick

No makeup look is complete without lipstick. Finish your fall makeup look with a pop of colour and use the Colour Elixir Lip Cushion. It’s my favourite lipgloss because it’s easy to apply – I do it mostly when I am on the go. I have one in my work bag, in my car and at my desk.
