A lot of career-driven women are self-made women as well and like to do things by themself and their own way. Especially the moment we were forced to stay home, we became (even) more creative and started to develop skills we never thought we could do it by ourself. Mothers became teachers, husbands became co-workers, offline businesses tuned in online, houses were offices by day and restaurants by night and bathrooms transformed in beauty salons.
In a DIY beauty for work at home mini-series, I will share some tools to level up your grooming at home. In the first part, I will explain how you can shape and colour your eyebrows easily at home.
Shape your eyebrows at home
STEP 1: Brush up
You cannot start shaping your eyebrows when you have no idea about what you are working with. The best way to figure that out is by brushing your eyebrows up. Long hairs, holes and excess hair will become visible.
STEP 2: Trim and tweeze
Trim the really long hairs very carefully without over-snipping. Then define the perimeter of your eyebrow by using your pinch. When you hold it against the bridge of your nose, a vertical row shows you were your eyebrow should start. The see where your eyebrow should end, you put the tweezer at the tip of your nose and create a diagonally line to the corner of your eye.
STEP 3: Eylure
Thanks to the Eylure Dybrow kit easy to mix and apply formula, you can colour your own eyebrows at home.
How to use it – 1 eyebrow at a time:
- Add 5 drops of the Activating Solution to the dish
- Mix together by using the applicator to form a creamy consistency that doesn’t drip
- Apply the mixture to the eyebrows
- Leave it for 1-2 minutes on your eyebrows while keeping your eye closed
- Wipe the excess mixture away by using a cotton wool pad
- Rinse thoroughly with water
- Repeat on the other eyebrow
